beginning of the end

2010 will be a pivotal year for me.

1) Barring any major life calamities, I will have graduated medical school and matched into residency.

My feelings on the matter put into words would probably be...
"omgpleaseletmematchandnothavetoscrambleanddon'tvomitorpeeonselfandcrossmyfingersabilliontimesforluckplusbangmyheadonthetablecauseit'slikeknockingonwoodbutbetter"

My feelings in picture form would probably be this girl's face on the actual match day...

Side note: I wonder why I could only find happy smiley hugging pictures of the match day while I was looking on google images. I guess they don't take pictures of the people who matched into their 8th choice or had to scramble. Either that or those people can fake it really well.

2) I will spend an extended period of my life living abroad, studying in Europe (London) & Asia (Beijing) for a month each plus at least another month time of traveling.

Too bad about this, considering he doesn't look all that good sporting a shaved look either...

Maybe I can still land myself a hot lord or something in London.

In all seriousness, I hope I can really do this when I'm done with Beijing ...

Volunteers, anyone?

Anyways, given how crazy my life will be with finishing interviews, transitioning to not feeling guilty about being called a doctor, and trying to not get lost while navigating in a foreign country, I figured I should reconnect with my non-existent cyber audience (aka my handful of friends who would actually waste time reading my blog) by letting you know I am alive periodically.

Thus my blog is reborn ... albeit on a different site host.
It has been more than 21 months since my last blog.
I shall try to be better about that.
